Agricultural Education Career

If you don't recall, I am an agricultural education major, with Ag Ed there are many things I could share about this career. Today let us talk about teaching in the classroom. There are many changes coming to our classrooms and there will be many more by the time I graduate. In Agriculture, we work to meet the demands and needs of students inside and outside of the traditional farm setting. As urban interest increases we work to bring more hands-on learning to students. This graphic was created to talk about some changes for the classroom and education system. It focuses on the idea of educators being the change in people's lives.

MAELC Internship Opportunity

As an assignment this week we were asked to write several different letters. This one was designed to be written to a reader to encourage them to work for the same company you do. I decided to write to the Ag Ed majors about the company that offers an internship I did over the summer. MAELC was the organization that held this internship that I was able to participate in and hope to continue to participate in next summer. Dear Agricultural Education students, Thank you for taking the time to hear about my internship during Agriculture Club last week. I hope this letter finds you well as you begin thinking about future internships. This position I had at Kasson-Mantorville High School, through MAELC, is definitely an opportunity that all Ag Ed majors should consider. MAELC stands for the Minnesota Agricultural Education Leadership Council. They are a legislative council that supports agricultural education across the state of Minnesota.
