It is important to work with the team and not rely fully on your own ideas and thoughts. In our Writing for Professionals class, we have formed teams to learn collaboratively. I would like to take a second to introduce to you my team. Our team name is the Magic Carpets, because why not bring some imagination and risky busy to our team. We all have a passion for agriculture and the outdoors. But more importantly we all have a career in taking risks when working with others.
First and foremost, my name is Amanda Stafford, I am serving as the team Leader. I am from Columbus, MN and am a sophomore here on campus. I am studying Agricultural Education with a Agribusiness and Agronomy minor. I am highly active on campus, serving on three executive boards, and holding office as the Minnesota PAS Secretary.
The second team member is Donavan Phoenix. He is serving as our team Editor. Originally from the great southeastern town of Hayfield, MN, Donavan is another sophomore Agricultural Education major. Fun fact about Donnie is we served as Minnesota FFA Region Officers together our senior year of high school. I am enthused to be working again with my proud friend and Senator of Student Government, Donnie P.
Bryan Kokesch is another team member of the Magic Carpets. He is serving as the team's mentor. Bryan is also a sophomore here at SMSU. He is majoring in business management. A little more locally, Bryan is from New Ulm, MN. He enjoys the outdoors, biking, fishing, and is a great people-person as he enjoys quality time with family and friends.
Our team Project Manager is SMSU sophomore Deena Weber. Deena is studying Agribusiness Management and is thinking about adding a Finance minor. Active in our SMSU Ag Club, Deena also enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping.
Finally the last team member is Leah Stevens. She serves as the Conflict Resolver. As a Junior here at in the Agribusiness Management program, this Hazel Run, MN native brings great energy to the team. Beyond the Soils class, Leah, Deena, and I have in common, Leah loved spending time on the family farm, playing softball, and riding motorcycle.
I am excited to grow in stronger relations to these members as we progress through the semester. Plus beyond the semester, each member is a strong resource for my career as an agriculture teacher in the future.

Hey Amanda! I absolutely love how you have our pictures followed by a description of each of us. You did an amazing job! I'm also excited to work with you in our writing class. Also, I figured I'd reply to the question you asked me on my blog. My family raises beef cattle, corn, and soybeans. I can't remember what the other question was, but we can talk about it in person if you want. See you tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteDeena thanks for the comment. I am glad you appreciated the blog.
